Terms of Use

1. Agreement and accounts

These Terms are an agreement between you and Electron Intelligence Ltd. (EI, we, us or our). They apply when you use electronintel.io, create an EI account, access EI research or data, request a trial, or buy a subscription. We refer to these products and activities as the Services.

If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it. You must be at least 18. Give us accurate account information, protect your credentials and contact EI if you suspect unauthorised use. An account belongs to the named user unless an Enterprise agreement permits sharing. A Free account does not start a trial or paid subscription.

2. Plans and payment

Free

A Free account provides content and features labelled Free. EI may change the Free offering. EI will not convert a Free account into a paid subscription without your agreement.

Seven-day free trial

You must request a trial. Approval does not start the seven-day period; the period starts when you activate the approved trial. A trial requires no payment card and does not auto-charge. Trial access may exclude downloads and exports. Your account returns to Free when the trial ends.

Professional

Professional is a single-user annual subscription unless checkout says otherwise. Paystack processes the payment. The subscription renews each year at the renewal price shown to you unless you cancel before renewal. Cancellation stops the next charge, and you retain access until the paid period ends unless EI suspends access under these Terms.

Fees are non-refundable after EI provides access, except where EI agrees to a refund or the law requires one. EI may suspend paid access after a failed or reversed payment.

Enterprise

A written Enterprise agreement governs team access, data licences, APIs, custom work and invoicing. That agreement controls if it conflicts with these Terms.

3. Permitted use and ownership

EI gives you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Services for your professional work or your organisation's internal business. EI and its licensors own the research, databases, methods, models, charts, software and trademarks.

Unless EI agrees in writing, you must not:

• share credentials or bypass access, download or usage controls;
• scrape, systematically extract or bulk download EI data;
• build a substitute database or redistribute EI content beyond limited quotations and internal work permitted by law;
• interfere with the Services, introduce malicious code, infringe rights or use the Services unlawfully.

4. Research and service disclaimer

EI research and data provide general information. They do not provide investment, financial, legal, tax, accounting, engineering or other professional advice, and they do not constitute an offer or recommendation. EI may use estimates, and published information may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Check material facts and obtain advice suited to your circumstances before making a decision.

EI may change or withdraw features. EI may suspend access because of a security risk, unpaid fees, misuse or a legal requirement. Where the law permits, EI provides the Services as available and does not guarantee uninterrupted access, complete or accurate content, or a particular result.

5. Liability and mandatory rights

Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Nigerian consumer rights, or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Where the law permits, EI is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or data. EI's total liability for a paid Service will not exceed the fees you paid for that Service in the 12 months before the claim. For a Free Service, EI's liability is limited to direct, reasonably foreseeable and proven loss.

6. Privacy, changes and law

EI processes personal data as explained in the Privacy Policy. EI may update these Terms when the law or Services change. EI will post the new effective date and give registered users reasonable notice of a material change.

The laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria govern these Terms. You and EI may bring disputes before a court with jurisdiction in Nigeria, except where mandatory law gives you another forum.
